A Dewavrin Freres (Pty) Ltd was established in South Africa in 1911 as a wholly-owned subsidiary company of the
Dewavrin Group of France », with their principal objective being the procurement of wool and mohair for their French and Bulgarian processing mills.
Over the years, ADF has established itself, and remains, one of the leading players in both the wool and mohair markets in South Africa.
Since 1983 ADF branched out as the South African distributor for the French Dickson Group of companies. More recently, with the acquisition of Dickson by the Glen Raven Group of America, ADF have also been appointed to distribute their Sunbrella range of fabrics. These products encompass awning, casual furniture and various PVC products. Today ADF is acknowledged as the leading supplier in South Africa to the awning, casual furniture and inflatable boat industries.
In addition, ADF acts as a distributor and supplier for the Somfy tubular motors for blinds, awnings and roller shutters to the domestic and industrial markets.
